If you would like to be put on our waitlist for one of our upcoming litters or one of our puppies, please fill out an application and send it back to ranchocaliaussies@gmail.com. You can find it under the Application Tab. You will be contacted to see if you application is approved or not.
The deposit is split into 2 parts. The first half ($250) will be collected to be placed on the waitlist. The second half will be collected after you choose your puppy at puppy picking day. Deposits are non-refundable so please make sure I know you are sending it before you send it. The payment options we currently accept are Venmo and Zelle.
Here at Rancho Cali Aussies, buyers choose their puppies until they are 7 weeks old after temperament testing has been done by our dog trainer. Based on the results and what you are looking for, I will help you choose your puppy. Puppies are chosen in the order that deposits are received. A puppy is so much more than a cute face and it would be ideal for families to take home a puppy that matches their lifestyle.
At pickup time, you must pay the remaining amount due for your puppy. At this time, we only accept cash as the final form of payment unless if otherwise specified.
Please make sure that you can drive to our home or meet us at the San Jose International Airport (only for flyers) for puppy pickup.
For the health and well-being of our new puppies and whelping mamas, we do not allow frequent home visits. Puppy visitations will be limited to choosing day at 7 weeks old and scheduled puppy pick-up at 8 weeks old when they are going home. If you cannot make it in person to choose a puppy, we can do a video call through Facetime or zoom. We do not want to expose our dogs to viruses like Parvo that can live in the soil for years once exposed. We also have young children and limit visits as much as possible. For privacy and safety reasons, our location will only be shared to committed buyers who have already placed a non-refundable deposit.
Here at Rancho Cali Aussies, we keep all of our puppies’ tails and dew claws! We don’t believe it’s necessary or justifiable to dock tails or remove dewclaws. There are new studies that actually state that keeping tails and dewclaws help with balance and keeping dewclaws can help prevent arthritis.
Prices are changing! Puppies will be $2500 starting June 2026 on limited registration (which include spay/neuter contracts). If you have a deposit before June, puppies will still be $2000.
Here at Rancho Cali Aussies, we run a Guardian Home Program. This program is only for local California families, that live in the Bay Area (up to one hour and a half from our home). We occasionally offer puppies or adult dogs to Guardian Homes. A guardian home is a unique opportunity to get a dog from us for less ($1500), but under a special agreement/contract. He/she would live with you and be YOUR dog, however we would retain breeding rights to the dogs and he/she would come back to us a couple of times for breeding/to raise a litter. Terms and conditions would be decided upon by both parties before the dog or puppy is placed in a guardian home. Once the terms have been completed, the dog would be spayed/neutered and be turned over to complete ownership of the Guardian. If you're interested in this program, please read over the Guardian Home contract (under the application tab). Feel free to fill out a puppy application and specify that your interested in the guardian home program. You can also message us for more info!
